SHV

The SHV connector provides safer operation. It uses a similar installation method to the BNC connector but is easily distinguishable due to its very thick and prominent insulator. This insulation shape makes the SHV connector safer when handling high voltages compared to other connectors.

SHV connectors are suitable for all high-voltage applications up to 5 kV DC or 3.5 kV rms. These connectors are typically used in instrumentation testing and measurement equipment, and their high voltage resistance is effective for both mated and unmated connections.
